What the fuck do they say in those public announcements?

Everyday, well weekday. At precisely 7am and 5pm the oustide speakers around town go on with a 'do, ra, mi, fa, so!' chime. Then it's kyouwa....bla bla bla. I think the 7am one says, 'get the fuck out of bed and get to work!'
Oh and on Monday when I was corrected by the assitant teacher when I wrote 'earaser' one the board. As opposed to 'eraser' as 'things you find a classroom.' Oh well, every student had to erase, ha, their notes and rewrite the word.
Today I taught at Kawaharago Elementry school which is my neighbor, literally the gate to the school is next to where I park my car. Everyday I hear the kids walk in front of my house. When I do get out early they all smile until I say "Good morning" and the say "good morning" back. They walk to school in packs to with their uniformed jackets and boxy looking backpacks. In the first grade I gave them a connect the dots sheet with letters instead of numbers. The picture was of 'Pooh-san' Winnie the Pooh, one kid when you was finished decided that Pooh-san was lacking something, a darker side. He put fangs, sharp teeth, evil eyes, and razor sharp claws on Pooh while ever other kid color him correctly. It is good not everyone sees the samething the same way, right?
Today I made the paper, the paper for like 3 or 4 towns around here. They took a photo of me and wrote a descent article. Everyone knows my name, and I don't know anyone's name. Same as it was back in the States.
I found some one to help me with my Japanese. I am going to meet with on Monday. I am excited, which is rare. I am going to meet him at Mister Donut. Not Dunkin Donuts, Matt.
Tomorrow I am thinking of going to Rinku Town. There are supposedly a bunch of American stores there and a Diessseellllll store.
Yes I have a dryer. Yes that is an AC/Heating unit. And no, there is no girl. No one really worth mentioning either. But who needs a girl to ruin such a good time?

The Mighty Red Sox

The Red Sox are amazing. "I'm not sure I can think of any scenario more enjoyable than making 55,000 people from New York shut up." said Curt Schilling. What a great quote.
Today is turning out to be a nice day. The sun is back and everyone is happy. Right now the students are cleaning the Junior High building. They normally do this after lunch everyday, but there is an event right after lunch so they are cleaning beforehand. The schools have no janitors so they employ child labor. How responsible the students can be....
After my class today some of the students asked if I knew Dragonball Z. One student had drawn a picture of Super Seian Goku. I said Goku and they were impressed.
Ring ring ring. I love how they announce lunch by ringing a large cow bell down the hall at aexactly 12:35 everyday. I still eat to slow and am usually the last sensei to leave the table. Itatakimasu...!
Last night I watched some of Return of the Jedi while listening to the commentary. George's commentary is almost boring. Listening to Irvin Kershner on the Empire Strikes Back was great. "Preperation for the battle is important. It gets you excited for the actual battle." George: "These were rubber were creatures. Twenty years ago I couldn't do want what I wanted. Now I can do everything and it is easy with computers. So I fixed it here." Why fix it if it wasn't broken to begin with. Episode III trailer will start showing November 5th!!!

I also posted a photo gallery of my 'hood. You can see it in the PHOTO section. Here is my home.

The roof leaks a bit, but hey, I don't really pay any rent so I can not complain. I do have a dryer too. No one has a dryer.

Coffee kudasai

That was just my first post and it was a test. Typhoon 23 is getting stronger. It must be blowin about 60mph outside right. It isn't raining anymore. None of the schools were in session today. Channel 1 has been cycling video of the typhoon's destruction thus far. I was watching the TV during lunch with my boss(who doesn't know ANY English). We were watching people struggling through the streets with broken umbrellas when it showed some lady slip and fall into a puddle in the middle of the street as it was pouring out. My boss started cracking up. It was pretty funny I guess. I was also laughing at how my boss, Kubo-san, could just start laughing at something like that. After that I switched to a live feed of the Boston/Yankees game. Boston won! The feed was uncut with no commercials. Some fans threw trash out on the field and you could here the fans yelling 'bullshit' 'bullshit'.. I was eating a bento(box) for lunch because there wasn't the usual lunch at the school.
Today I sat in the Board of Education office all day and so I started this blog. I should be studying my Ninhongo or making lesson plans but I have been just tooling around. Tomorrow I teach the 3rd graders(9th grade) at the Junior High. Just one class, yah. It is my favorite because the actaully listen to me and try, or pretend, to follow along with my lesson. I am thinking about talking about the election and showing them what a ballot book looks like and the punch card and give em some vocab words.
I have a headache, and I don't know why.
The secretary aske if I wanted coffee. I said yes, but still yet no coffee.... It is like in Empire of the Sun, when Jim was offered "Hey you want a Hershey's?" he said "Yes, sir, please" and the guy said "So would I kid." WTF poor Jim. Christian Bale had to gain 60 pounds in a month for his screen test for Batman. He just ate Ice-cream and pizza. The pizza here comes with corn on it.
When will the worms stop coming out of the toliet?

My bones are aching. Storm sa comin Ani.

Typhoon, or Taifuun, 23 is about to tackle my poor little village. I hope my poor little Yoda-hut like house is steardy enough to withstand this typhoon which is the biggest of the 3 that I have been through since I got here. Right now they have opened up the damn for the second time today to keep the river from overflowing.
Some wind has blown open the doors to the office.
