Driving is fun

It is fun here in Japan to drive around. The scenery is magificent, especially on beautiful days, like today. Today is wonderfully いい天気. And I am in a great mood becasue of it. It is spring and the 桜, cherry blossoms are blooming all over the place. They are showing up even in randoms spots on the mountains.
But back to driving, the streets here in the mountains are all so curvy crazy. I drove to Ryujin yesterday afternoon to hang out with Aaron over there. It is a good 35 minute drive or so. Ryujin has like 100 bridges and 50 tunnels for a population of like 5000 people. Ryujin has sweeping valleys and big mountains. Up north Ryujin has some huge mountains near the border of the prefecture next to Nara-ken. It also has a one lane bridge in the middle of town. Nearly all the roads in Japan are in great condition too, I reason that is because they don't dump tons of salt everywhere during the winter. Althought they should because the roads get really slippery. But it really doesn't snow too much here, in Wakayama.
After a few good rounds of Rummy and some macaroni and cheese we watched Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. It's a visaully great movie, but the story just limped along. I just need to watch it again. My car was running on fumes on the way home. I was pretty nervous. The gas light came on a few times, when I did get home and shut off the car, the gas needle was so low that it even go now any further after I had turned the power off.
I have tried to update the photos in the photo pages, but new photos just won't display on some of the pages. I don't know what's up with that.
So I hope to go (花見)Hanami-ing in the next few days. Where you have a picnic under a cherry blossom tree. I have some people doing it in the last few days, I wonder if it just a family and old men thing though. Whatever, it looks like a good excuse to drink some 酒 outside.
On another note, I need to plan out some travelling. Where to go.....
